In response to increasing war-time passenger travel, Chesapeake & Ohio purchased a small group of 1910s-era Pullman parlor cars in 1941 to be converted into coaches. This car was rebuilt with 84 seats and two restrooms, and was later painted into the C&O Tri-Color Scheme.

During prohibition, wine grape growers in California were desperate to find alternative to wine production that allowed their vineyards to be profitable. Fruit Industries Limited was founded with a product called “Vine-Glo – Wine Haven Pure Grape Concentrate,” a thick juice paste that could be fermented into wine in the consumer’s own home. The company later produced jellies, syrups, and vinegars.

With a 70-ton capacity, they featured drop ends for loading oversize mechanical or industrial loads. Pennsylvania Railroad was one of the largest east-coast railroads with more than 11,000 miles of track at the height of operations.
