Cosden was founded in the early 1910s by Joshua Cosden, and was acquired by Belgian-based FINA Petroleum in 1963.

At 48’ in length, these containers are commonly seen filling the space in the bottom position of intermodal well-cars, with equal-length or longer containers above them.
