Owned by the Nebraska, Kansas & Colorado Railway, and lettered for Canadian National service, this 89’ enclosed autorack design became the universal standard for most railroads. Commonly used to this day, the design prevented vandalism and pilferage and helped to protect vehicles from the elements.

Assigned to MOW work trains and based out of Ridgeley, West Virginia, these repurposed Department of Defense camp cars were painted red with the WM “speed lettering” stripe scheme.K-3013 was retired in 1971. 3004 served through the Chessie merger of 1972.
Built in April 1960, this 3,174 cubic foot mechanical reefer was used to transport frozen food from production plants to distributors and sellers. Pacific Fruit Express designated “frozen food” cars with silver roofs and black ends. Pacific Fruit Express was incorporated in 1906 and was a joint venture between Southern Pacific and Union Pacific, handling vast quantities of perishables from western growing regions to market in the east.
