Road Number ART 426

This 40’ double-sheathed wood reefer is brown with yellow sides and runs on Arch Bar trucks. Built by AC&F in 1911, this Class RS reefer was owned by American Refrigerator Transit and leased to Walker’s Austex Chili Company, advertising Mexene Chile Powder Seasoning in the 1930s.

Atchison Topeka & Santa Fe
Road Numbers 521583, 521585

These 50’ rib side box cars with plug door and no roofwalk are red with white lettering and run on Barber Roller Bearing trucks. Built in late 1969 by Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe, these Bx-137 series boxcars were two of 433 built in a two-year period. They are an insulated boxcar with Santa Fe’s “Super Shock Control” underframe cushioning, and also feature load dividers and sidewall fillers.

Canadian Pacific
Road Number CP 291602

This 40’ standard box car with double doors is red with white lettering and runs on Bettendorf trucks. Rebuilt in 1975 by the Canadian Pacific’s Weston Shops, it was originally built by Canadian Car & Foundry. Canadian Pacific is one of North America’s largest Class 1 railroads, with more than 12,500 miles of track in Canada and the United States.

GRAPE-TO-GLASS SERIES #4

This 40’ double-sheathed wood reefer is brown with orange sides and runs on Bettendorf trucks. Owned by California Dispatch Line, and leased by Bear Creek Vineyard Association of Lodi, California, this car was technically a tank car in function, despite having the exterior form of a reefer. Commonly seen with CDLX cars, this TW class car had six large wood tanks inside and the exterior wood sheathing helped to further protect the car from the elements.

Norfolk Southern
Road Number SOU 900348

This 50’ standard box car with 10’ single door, no roofwalk and short ladders is grey with black lettering and runs on Roller Bearing trucks. Built in April 1979 for Southern Railway, this 50’ general purpose boxcar has a 4,954 cubic foot capacity and a maximum gross weight of 177,000 pounds. It later became the property of Norfolk Southern through the merger of Norfolk & Western and Southern, and was relegated to maintenance of way service.

Pennsylvania Railroad
Road Number 67368

This 40’ standard box car with double doors is freight car red with white lettering. Built in 1941 by Pennsylvania Railroad, it was used to transport automotive parts such as body panels and transmissions. Belonging to Class X37B, it was used in revenue service through the 1970s before being retired.

In early 1991, Burlington Northern received an order of 16 single Husky-Stack cars from Gunderson, accommodating containers up to 48’ in the lower well position. These were rolled into the BNSF fleet a few years later after the 1995 merger. The Husky-Stack® well car was first introduced in 1990 at the International Intermodal Expo in Atlanta, GA.

CAMEO SERIES CAR #3

This 50’ standard box car with single door is blue with yellow band and runs on Roller Bearing trucks. Designed for C&O’s Less-than-Carload service, this car was one of six specially painted for viewing by company stockholders in 1957, using the newly adopted Futura lettering style and featuring a yellow sill stripe to increase nighttime visibility. Ultimately, the LCL program did not have the required demand to be successful, and these cars were later painted back into standard fleet colors.

Great Northern 2-Pack

Built in 1941 and 1943 by Great Northern’s St. Cloud Shops, these cabooses featured the slogans “The best way is the safe way” and “You can’t afford an accident.” They wererebuilt and repainted in the 1950s and continued serving for another decade before being repainted and ultimately merged into Burlington Northern in 1971.

Used by CSX Transportation in a maintenance of way capacity, these gondolas are seen throughout the CSX rail network. CSX uses an excavator with a grapple to lift railroad ties in and out of the gondolas, replacing rotted ties with fresh ones. Extensions have been added to the sides of the gondolas to increase their capacity for railroad ties.

*The tie loader is made of 3D printed and resin cast parts with an etched-metal claw and includes cab window decals. Loader parts come cleaned, unassembled and unpainted. Ramp will be laser-cut laser board, painted yellow and unassembled. Gondola side extensions will be laser board and decorated to match weathered gondola, but not installed. Two rail tie loads will be resin cast and decorated.

The decorated vehicles will come painted with our factory Olive Drab and/or Tan paint and will include printed headlights and taillights. The interior window, shell and underframe will be assembled together, however the extra wheel, snorkel and etched-metal pieces will not come installed. The etched-metal pieces will be painted the same color as the vehicle. The undecorated Humvee comes unassembled so you can easily decorate to your desire.
