Z Scale Denver & Rio Grande Western - Rd#50638 - These 50’ rib side box cars with plug door and no roofwalk are orange with black lettering and run on Barber Roller Bearing trucks. Built in May 1966 and leased to the Denver & Rio Grande Western, these insulated cars featured cushioned underframes as well as load dividers. The D&RGW was a transcontinental line with the slogan “Main line through the Rockies,” with the highest rail line in the United States at over 10,000 feet.
