Speaking of high profits, Exxon-Mobil has been in the news alot lately. You might find it interesting to note that for 2007, they paid 41% of their "profit" to the US government in the form of taxes. That was $30 Billion (b for billion) ... this one large corporation paid more in taxes than was paid by 50% of US citizens in the lowest tax brackets (approximately 65 million people). Ouch!
