Baltimore & Ohio Class N-44 50 Ton Offset Hopper: BLW is extremely pleased to offer, in cooperation with Brian DeVries these distinctive and classic Baltimore & Ohio hoppers. 3,300 Class N-44 hoppers were built by the B&O's DuBois, PA shops between 1956 and 1960. Using reclaimed and reconditioned trucks, wheels and airbrake components, a new car was assembled from purchased car body components at the rate of 10 cars every eight hours. The 3 cars in our set were among those produced in the first month of operation and were marked with the 24" "billbaord" B&O logo which first appeared in 1955.
