Micro-Trains is proud to announce the release of our all-new U.S. Navy Series in N scale, which showcase prominent Navy vessels from the past and present. Each features a unique rendering of the vessel’s class silhouette, official identification hull number, years in service, vessel emblem and U.S. Navy emblem.

USS Saratoga served valiantly with the Pacific Fleet in World War II before aiding British forces in the Far East and Indian Ocean. Afterward she was involved with training for night combat before becoming involved with the attack on Iwo Jima. After the Japanese surrender, the Saratoga transported 29,204 Pacifi c war veterans home. She was later assigned to Operation Crossroads at Bikini Atoll to test the effect of the atomic bomb on naval vessels. USS Saratoga was struck from the Navy list on 15 August 1946.
