This 40' standard box car with single door is painted box car red with white lettering. It displays the black diamond 'LV' logo and runs on black Bettendorf trucks. Built June of 1947 by Pullman-Standard Car Manufacturing, this series of cars was the first delivered for one of the most successful freight car designs, the PS-1 box car. Over 76,000 PS-1s were built by Pullman-Standard between 1947 and 1968.
